PARK(ING) DAY
Friday, september 18th
10am-6pm

CITY-WIDE

Hosted by Bike Walk Tompkins

Park(ing) Day is an international celebration of public space that invites people to rethink how our streets can better serve our communities. By temporarily transforming a standard 160-square-foot parking space into a park, plaza, art installation, community gathering place, or other creative use, participants demonstrate the potential of dedicating more public space to people rather than cars.

Friday, September 18 marks the 20th anniversary of Park(ing) Day, and Bike Walk Tompkins is inviting neighbors, businesses, artists, schools, and community organizations across the City of Ithaca to join the celebration.

Fill out the form below by August 28th to help us match you with a spot where you can construct a temporary installation that sparks conversation, strengthens community connections, and showcases how our public spaces can become more vibrant for everyone.
