The BIKING MAP FOR ITHACA & TOMPKINS COUNTY is based on traffic volumes and existing bicycle facilities and published by the Ithaca-Tompkins County Transportation Council.

ITHACA MURALS is a network of people transforming gray walls into beautiful meaningful works of art that tell stories of the diverse people who live here and what we care about. Bike Walk Tompkins support this important justice-oriented project. You can use their MURAL MAP to take a self guided tour of the murals on foot or on wheels!

The ITHACA NEIGHBORHOOD BIKING MAP (PDF) and WALKING MAP are projects of Bike Walk Tompkins and the Human Services Coalition of Tompkins County, respectively. You can pick up paper copies of these maps at our offices.

ITHACATRAILS.ORG is the one place where you can find and sort through all the walking, biking, running, skiing, horseback, and snowshoeing trails in Tompkins County.

FINGER LAKES CYCLING CLUB has complied a library of LOCAL BIKE ROUTES available on the ridewithgps website or ridewithgps mobile app.

GOFINGERLAKES.ORG is a website from the Finger Lakes Land Trust that serves as your guide to the best spots for hiking, biking, paddling, and outdoor recreation across their 6,000-square-mile area, which includes Tompkins County.

GOOGLE MAPS and OPENSTREETMAPS also offer cycling layers and can provide directions optimized to biking and walking.

Through the TOMPKINS COUNTY HISTORY CENTER, locals and visitors can access self guided tours from POCKET SIGHTS. They are a locally grown group aimed at helping mobile users have experiences with confidence and direction, when exploring and discovering the historical and cultural places around them.

TRAILLINK.COM, run by the national advocacy organization Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, provides detailed information and reviews on trails all around the country.
