Full Moon rides w/ Vie Cycle
Bike Walk Tompkins presents presents Full Moon Lighted Bike Parades, in collaboration with Vie Cycles!
These are family-friendly community bike rides, aimed at encouraging rider safety and visibility. We encourage you to put on some costumes, get your wheels lit up and come on a 5 mile slow roll around downtown Ithaca. Every ride explores different infrastructure and trails and we do ride on roads! The group gathers together one hour before sunset at the Bike Walk Tompkins office (803 Cascadilla St), and we roll out right as the sun goes down so that we can really show off our awesome light displays. Feel free to bring your own outfits and lights as well! Check the dates and times below for each ride!
Halloween parade
The Annual Halloween Lighted Bicycle Sculpture Ride brings art, bikes, fun and trick or treating all together for a spectacular fantastical event. Now in its 8th year, the Bike Sculpture artists continue to wow with more and more fanciful and cleverly lighted sculptures, all created on or towed by bikes. On Halloween night, meet at Hickey’s Music Center at 6pm and roll out at 6:30pm. The route will zigzag through Fall Creek’s most popular trick or treating streets. All are invited to light up their bikes and join the fun! Front and rear lights required at a minimum. Costumes optional.
2024 dates: 10/31 AND 11/1
Meet at Hickey’s at 6pm, Roll out at 6:30pm
